The renowned Parisian landmark, the Centre Georges Pompidou will be hosting until January 23rd, 2017, an interesting monographic exhibition devoted to the Belgian Surrealist painter René Magritte (1898 – 1967), under the title of “Magritte: La trahison des images”.
The exhibition which is named after the artist’s probably most popular painting La trahison des images (1929) puts on display more than 100 thought-provoking paintings including the artist’s famous paintings La lampe philosophique (1936), L’ellipse (1948), Les vacances de Hegel (1958), in addition to many other impressive but less familiar creations that grab the attention and interest of every viewer.
The exhibition “Magritte: La trahison des images” is curated by Didier Ottinger.
