During this holiday season, certain museums in Paris have organized special exhibits dedicated to Christmas. One such museum is the Musée des Arts Forains, as it brings a world of Christmas cheer to anyone who happens to visit during their stay in Paris.
From December 26, 2013 until January 5, 2014, guests staying at the Hôtel Louvre Marsollier can see a special Christmas exhibit called ‘Le Festival du Merveilleux’ at a museum dedicated to antique displays and rides from times gone by, as well as the art of the spectacle in general. At the Musée des Arts Forains, a collection put together by Jean-Paul Favand will be presented right after Christmas. Favand is a private collector who has crafted a magical Christmas universe that he will now share with all of Paris.
Every thirty minutes, a spectacle will be presented featuring performers such as storytellers, musicians, magicians mimes, acrobats and performance troupes. This makes for a lively Christmas atmosphere full of excitement. What’s more, visitors can even hop on some of the rides displayed by the museum — that includes rides for both adults and children.
Jugglers and musicians lead visitors from room to room, acting as guides for the Musée des Arts Forains. Because this museum is interactive, visitors can feel free to touch all of the objects in the collection, which is spread out over 800 square meters.
During the period of this exhibition, the museum will be open every day from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Tickets cost 12 euros for adults and 5 euros for children ages 2 to 12. As a result, the whole family can discover a colorful and lively world with entertaining shows and rides suitable for all ages.
