Any lover of art, design or fashion is usually spoilt for choice when it comes to different shows and exhibits in Paris. This is one of the leading arts capitals of the world and has been a trend-setter for as long as people can remember. That is why it shouldn’t come as much surprise to learn that there are so many skilled French jewellery designers. Those that want to study the history and styles of this art form now have the perfect opportunity with the De Calder à Koons, bijoux d’artistes exhibition at Musée des Arts Décoratifs.
This exhibition is the collaborative effort of some major names. First of all, it would not be possible at all without the extensive collection of Diane Venet. Some of her prized pieces are on show in a collection that holds around 150 different French artists. Then there are the graphic designers EricandMarie, as well as curator Antoine Plazanet. Together they have devised a must-see show that should inspire designers of the future. It runs until July 8th.
