If you want to immerse in a little high-culture to escape the Christmas vibes in Paris this winter, why not head to Le Grand Palais. Here you can enjoy an exhibition that looks at the work of El Greco. This Cretan artist is highly regarded as being one of the best names to come from Spain, having also founded the Spanish school in the 16th century. The aim here is to showcase a series of his works with a new perspective on how he went about creating them and his place in the art world at the time.
El Greco may be someone that some gallery visitors only know by name. It is rare to see some many pieces brought together under one roof – or with such detailed analysis. The quality of the exhibition is the result of the collaboration with the Art Institute Chicago. Make the most of this show while it is on this winter. It continues at Le Grand Palais until the 10th of February 2020.
