Gauguin the Alchemist is a new exhibition that will take place at the Grand Palais des Champs Elysées Paris, from 11th October 2017 to 22nd January 2018.
Organized by the Musée d’ Orsay Paris in collaboration with the Art Institute of Chicago, the exhibition seeks to highlight the remarkable achievements of this great artist and to draw attention to his diverse creations which were produced between 1848 and 1903 and which vary from fascinating sculptures and paintings to decorative arts and graphics.
About 200 artworks will be available at the museum, including 30 ceramic pieces, 55 paintings, 30 sculptures, 15 carvings, 35 drawings and 60 engravings.
The exhibition will also offer visitors the opportunity to discover a new research carried out on the different materials and techniques used by this artist. So, try not to miss this interesting event if you’re staying in Paris!
