This winter, the Grand Palais in Paris will stage one of the most extensive and bold retrospectives of the work of Miro. The team at this great French historical monument will bring together around 150 pieces of work that celebrate the creative mind and skill of Catalan’s greatest artist. Some pieces are from pretty close to home, while others are on loan from American institutions and private collections. The end result should be a feast for the sense, with large abstract canvas, stunning sculptures and much more.
The aim here is to take visitors on a journey through the different eras and approaches in Miro’s work. This should provide a greater understanding of the scope of his work and achievement, where many patrons may have only seen the odd abstract canvas here and there.
Visitors can enjoy this impressive collection from the 3rd of October until the 4th of February. This means plenty of time to return and truly take it all in.
