The Nuit aux Invalides 2019 looks like it will be an event to remember for the summer season. On paper, the idea of a 45-minute presentation on historical figures doesn’t sound that exciting. It isn’t going to jump out to families as a must-see experience. However, this is a presentation with a difference. The historical journey of the last 3000 years is a visual show comprising of a series of 4K images of famous figures. These bold, colourful projections will stand tall on the facade of the Invalides and wrap right around the courtyard in a 360-degree show.
This is where history suddenly becomes immersive and interesting for all involved. History geeks get a cool new way to view their subject and younger viewers get a new appreciation of Paris’ chronology. The show runs in this grand setting until the end of August. Add this curious alternative show to your summer calendar.
