If you are a lover of Italian art, you really are spoiled for choice because there are so many different masters across so many centuries. Some people will have their favourite eras and artists that they lean towards more than others. Others will enjoy the chance to learn as much as possible about the history of Italian art in all its forms.
Alvaro Saieh and Ana Guzmán were definitely in the latter camp. They amassed a collection of works that extended across 5 centuries and highlighted their love of the country and its painters. Paris art lovers now have a rare chance to see 75 of these paintings in a new exhibition at the Musée Jacquemart-André. The Alana Collection, as it is known, is fascinating and one not to miss. You can study it for yourself until the 20th of January. Don’t miss out before it returns to its home in New York.
Musée Jacquemart-André is only half-an-hour walk from our Hotel Louvre Marsollier Opéra.
