From September 29 until November 11, 2012, a charming annual event called Paris Poneys is coming to the Parc de Choisy. This event will feature many different activities, including demonstrations, workshops and games that will entertain children and families.
Every year, Paris Poneys is set up in a Parisian park — Parc de Choisy, located in the 13th arrondissement — in order to educate and entertain children and young adults who wish to discover horses. This year is no different, and the event will offer activities such as an introduction to equine and equestrian careers, workshops on taking care of horses, pony rides and horse vaulting demonstrations.
For those with a competitive streak, there will also be pony games arranged as team sports as well as a closing ceremony organized around a large quiz event.
The safety of both the children and the animals will be ensured by professional trainers, so parents can let their children enjoy all of these activities without worry. This is a free event although certain courses require children to be registered in advance. Registration takes place in person on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. until noon. However, Paris Poneys is completely open to the public, without registration, Monday through Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Visiting Paris Poneys is therefore a great way to explore the Parc de Choisy while spending a relaxing and educational day with the family. Families staying at the Hotel Louvre Marsollier can make a trip over to the 13th arrondissement in order to discover this entertaining event.
