With December just one month away, it is time to start thinking about plans for New Year’s Eve. Those who are traveling during the celebrations should also begin making plans, and guests staying at the Hôtel Louvre Marsollier will have plenty of options during their trip in the City of Light.
From restaurants to public gatherings, there are several fun things that visitors could do to count down the new year. In search of a party scene? Well then look no further than the VIP New Year celebration on the Champs-Elysées. Taking place at a night spot called Les Planches, located at 40 Rue du Colisée, this event offers a night that participants are sure to remember.
Starting at 8 p.m., the night starts off with a luxury buffet that lasts until 10 p.m. The buffet includes mini-pyramids of smoked salmon, foie gras and vegetables, ham platters, scallop terrines, foie gras salad, crayfish salad, blue cheese and apple salad, stuffed grape leaves, and stuffed poultry. For dessert, the buffet will offer speculoos tiramisu, Jack Daniels and honey mousse, fine chocolates and French pastries. With such a wide variety and copious amount of food, those looking to enjoy a good meal before midnight will not be disappointed.
Then, after 10 p.m., the dance floor will open and the countdown to 2014 will begin. With 10 drinks included in the price of a ticket, the fun will flow well into the night. Once the clock strikes midnight, the club will illuminate with bright LED walls, a light show and confetti. And the music will keep playing until 6 a.m. the next morning, ensuring the party-goers start 2014 off on the right foot.
Tickets for the event can be purchased on the website of Les Planches (site in French). Standard tickets (without buffet) cost 65 euros while tickets including the buffet are 85 euros. Visitors should keep in mind that proper attire is required.
