After the success of La Bayadère and Romeo and Juliet, this December, another breath-taking show organized by the Opera de Paris, in honor of Rudolf Nureyev, will grace the stage of Opera Bastille!
The show, which will be held from 05 to 31 December 2016, brings to light Nureyev’s 1986 version of Swan Lake, one of the most popular ballets that were composed by the prolific Russian composer of the Late-Romantic period, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
Widely believed to be written by both Vladimir Begichev and Vassili Geltser, who actually took their inspiration for the plot from “Der graduate Schleier” (The Stolen Veil), a story by the famous German author Johann Karl August Musäus, this unique masterpiece was performed for the first time by the Bolshoi Ballet, in 1877, at the Bolshoi Theatre, in Moscow.
This performance of Swan Lake is directed by Vello Pähn. It lasts 155 minutes and includes only one intermission.
Opera Bastille is at a short distance from our Hotel Louvre Marsollier Opera Paris. Whether you are a fan of choreography or not, don’t miss this fascinating show!
