Organized by the Musée d’ Orsay Paris in collaboration with the Art Institute of Chicago, the exhibition seeks to highlight the remarkable achievements of this great artist and to draw attention to his diverse creations which were produced between 1848 and 1903 and which vary from fascinating sculptures and paintings to decorative arts and graphics.

In partnership with the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MoMA), New York, the Grand Palais des Champs Elysées presents, from September 21st, 2017 until January 29th, 2018, a major retrospective of the 20th century American icon of photography, Irving Penn (1917-2009).
Taking place at the Galeries nationales, “Jardins” traces the history of garden art by putting on view not only paintings and drawings, but also sculptures, photographs, and films.
