The reopening of the Petit Palais to visitors in December means another chance for fans of contemporary art to enjoy the show “Ici mieux qu’en face” from Laurence Aegerter.
This is great news for both visitors and the artist herself as this show is her first solo exhibition, so it is great to have that opportunity to keep the spotlight on her for a little longer. The exhibition is now set to run until the 28th of February, with more than enough time to check it out as the lockdown exit strategy gets underway.
The show is an eclectic mix of pieces, from photographs to tapestries and ceramics. They highlight the skill of this artist in using different mediums for self-expression, with a nod towards modern approaches and even work from her camera phone. These pieces are spread out through the building and gardens, taking visitors on an interesting journey. This is definitely something to look forward to this winter.
