This spring, from March 14 until June 25, 2017, the Musée d’Orsay invites visitors to attend a new major exhibition “Beyond Stars. The Mystical Landscape from Monet to Kandinsky”.
The exhibition which features more than 100 works from landscape paintings to works on paper made by some of the most popular artists including Paul Gauguin, Vincent van Gogh, Vassily Kandinsky, Claude Monet, and Georgia O’Keeffe, sheds light on the period between 1880 and 1930, a period during which a great number of European and North American artists chose to follow the path of spiritual development and experience rather than materialism and traditional religious institutions.
“Beyond Stars. The Mystical Landscape from Monet to Kandinsky” is organized by the Musée d’Orsay in partnership with the Art Gallery of Ontario, in Toronto. It is a truly amazing occasion for our guests at the Hotel Louvre Marsollier Opera Paris to contemplate great masterpieces such as Claude Monet’s Water Lilies (1907), Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night over the Rhone (1888), and Paul Gauguin’s Christ in the Garden of Olives (1889) assembled at the same place with some other magnificent works by other prolific painters.
The hotel is only 20 minutes’ walk from the Musée d’Orsay. So, just mark this exhibition on your calendar! 😉
