Until January 15th, 2018, Paris is home to “Earth as Haven: Under the Canopy of Love”, an exhibit dedicated to the talented contemporary Indian artist, Jayashree Chakravarty.
Held at the Musée national des arts asiatiques – Guimet (MNAAG), on the occasion of the 5th contemporary carte blanche, the exhibition invites the public to discover a plant installation created by Chakravarty and made from organic materials such as cotton, leaves, branches, weeds, loam, clay, Nepalese paper, sterns, and aluminum.
This amazing organic work is actually the first of its kind to be exhibited at the Musée Guimet. Illustrating the hidden underground world of insects, it reveals a lot about the artist’s love and vision of nature.
Whether you have visited the Musée Guimet before or not, “Earth as Haven: Under the Canopy of Love” is a truly excellent opportunity for you to discover not only Chakravarty’s new masterpiece but also the marvelous permanent collection of the museum.
