Thanks to Guimet and Régamey’s trip, in 1879, the Musée Guimet was launched at Lyon, encompassing a really important collection of the finest Asian artifacts. Ten years after that, it was transferred to Paris, in the 16th arrondissement of the city, close to the country’s most famous museums and monuments.
