Until January 8th, 2018, the Musée Delacroix Paris will be putting on view an exhibition covering the French contemporary writer Christine Angot’s most favorite pieces from the museum’s collection.
According to the author, most of the pieces selected by herself were chosen either for their connection with her childhood and youth memories or on the basis of the powerful meaning and symbolism they carry.
Besides the works from the collection of the Musée Delacroix, Angot added to her picking as well some works by renowned contemporary artists such as Charles Simonds, Johan Creten, and Werner Herzog, which means an interesting variety of pieces awaits you!
On the occasion of this unique exhibit, a comparison between the writings of Delacroix and contemporary conceptions is also offered to the viewers, with a special focus on highlighting the major influences which led those artists to revolt and become who they are at the present day compared to their twenties.
The exhibition inaugurates the first literary season held at Musée Delacroix, dealing with the theme of the creation of art, literature, and music. So, consider attending it.
