The organisers of Museum Night 2020 have been very unlucky throughout this year. The May event was postponed until November 14th to allow Paris to get through lockdown and back on its feet. This was all set to go ahead until the second lockdown was announced. As Paris is under strict rules about any events and social distancing until December 1st, the event cannot go ahead as planned.
However, those looking forward to the event can take some comfort from the fact that there will be a digital version this month instead. The idea is that key aspects of the event will move online to allow visitors the chance to still engage with culture from their homes. It is unclear exactly how this will all work right now, there are high hopes that the #NDMChezNous operation will create an interesting event on this digital platform. It may be a compromise, but it still offers some light in this dark period.
