“Fantin-Latour. A fleur de peau”, a magnificent retrospective that will be taking center stage at the famous Parisian art museum, the Musée du Luxembourg, until February 12, 2017.
Specially arranged to focus attention on an astonishing picking of the French painter and lithographer Henri Fantin-Latour’s paintings, the exhibition « Fantin-Latour. A fleur de peau » features more than 60 paintings, in addition to a remarkable number of stunning lithographs and drawings. It also offers a completely new approach to the work of this artist who is, in reality, more complex than he seems to be.
This retrospective is organised by the Réunion des Musées Nationaux – Grand Palais and the Musée de Grenoble, in cooperation with the Musée d’Orsay.
If you’re staying at the Hotel Louvre Marsollier Opera Paris, consider visiting the Musée du Luxembourg.
« Fantin-Latour. A fleur de peau » is the first exhibition to be held in honor of Fantin-Latour since 1982.
