Paris’ largest international contemporary art fair, the Foire internationale d’art contemporain (FIAC; English: the International Contemporary Art Fair ), returns again in its 43rd edition.

Running from October 20 to 23 October 2016, at the Grand Palais, FIAC 2016 offers art admirers and collectors an excellent chance to find out the latest creations in the world of contemporary art.

This year, around 190 galleries from more than 25 countries are on the program, a considerable number of which will be shown hors les murs at the Petit Palais, the Musée Eugène Delacroix, the Tuileries Gardens, and Place Vendôme.

On the occasion of this exceptional fair, many famous Parisian museums and galleries usually tend to put on display their most interesting exhibitions.

Guests staying at our Hotel Louvre Marsollier Opera Paris, can, for example, visit the Musée d’Orsay, which is a few minutes’ walk from the hotel, and discover the best works of Frédéric Bazille under the exhibition called “Frédéric Bazille (1841-1870). The Youth of Impressionism.”

They can as well attend “Oscar Wilde, l’impertinent absolu” at the Petit Palais, or pay a visit to the Musée de l’Orangerie to contemplate the emblematic paintings of American Social Realism under “American Painting in the 1930s”, an exhibition that points up the impact of the 1929 Wall Street Crash on the lives of American people during the 1930’s.

Have a nice stay at our hotel! 😉
