“Futur, Ancien, Fugitif” is an interesting new art show that is set to take over the Palais de Tokyo this Winter. The idea here is that contemporary artists are given free rein to explore the themes of a “borderless territory” and the blurred lines of modern art. This is something that is important right now with French art, as artists question genres and gender norms in their work. This is sure to lead some extreme and varied installations across the space.
It will be interesting to see how the 44 artists tackle the subject and express their thought processes to gallery visitors. Will be see shared ideas and connections between the artists or will they be completely disparate and unique? We will find out when the show opens on October 16th. Either way, it is sure to be eye-opening and thought-provoking. You can see the show until the 5th of January next year.
