Some photography exhibits are all about the subject. We may head to a show to learn more about nature photography, portraits or monochrome shots. Others offer a chance to learn more about the methods of a particular artist. A new show for spring at The Musée National des arts asiatiques-Guimet does just that. Here the focus is on the work, methods and simple equipment of Jean-Baptiste Huynh.
Huynh is famed for his ability to travel the world and take incredible studies in any location because of his simple equipment and lighting needs. In fact, he has had the same camera for 30 years – putting it to great use time and time again in countless locations.
This new show brings together some of his best work from his life and travels. It is a rare opportunity for a Parisian audience to really study his portrait, landscapes and still-life work.
The show begins on February 20th and continues until May 20th.
