With the support of the Musée National d’Art and the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes of Mexico, until January 23, 2017, the Réunion des Musées Nationaux – Grand Palais will be staging an important exhibition dedicated to the 20th-century Mexican art.
The exhibition was opened on October 5th, 2016, under the title of MEXIQUE (1900–1950). It gives prominence to some of the most amazing artworks which are today regarded as symbols of Mexican national and indigenous traditions including paintings, photographs, and sculptures.
More than 200 works by leading Mexican artists such as the surrealist painter Frida Kahlo (1907 – 1954), the Muralist artist Diego Rivera (1886 – 1957), and the renowned modernist artist Rufino Tamayo (1899 – 1991), are showcased.
Our Hotel Louvre Marsollier Opera Paris is located at a very short distance from the Galeries Nationales du Grand Palais, where MEXIQUE (1900–1950) is presented. So, don’t hesitate to pay a visit to this amazing exhibition! 😉
