Unfortunately, a lot of the biggest and brightest of the Christmas markets in 2020 have been cancelled due to Covid restrictions. However, there are still plenty of organisers out there with some big plans to create something stripped-back and special.
The aim this year is to spread joy in a socially distanced and responsible manner. The Hotel de Ville Christmas Market is a perfect example because it is reducing the number of stalls for social distancing, yet still providing a magical atmosphere with lots of trees, decorations and even a free Carousel.
Other markets across the city are following suit with a more minimal approach. The market outside the Eiffel Tower is also sure to be a bit smaller this year, but you can’t beat their street food and there is an ice skating rink nearby.
The markets may be different in 2020 but they can still be just as enjoyable.
Don’t forget to keep distance and stay safe!
Merry Christmas! 🙂
