Place Vendome is located north of the Tuileries Gardens and east of the church of the Madeleine, it is located in the 1st arrondissement of Paris.
Its octagonal plan was designed by Jules Hardouin Mansart, the architect of Versailles. It was built between 1685 and 1699 on the site of the Hotel du Duc de Vendome, son of Henry IV and his mistress Gabrielle d’Estrees between a Capuchin convent which has closed the street for future peace until ‘in 1804 and the Jardin des Tuileries.
This is one of the squares of Paris’s most famous and is considered one of the most luxurious in the world. Place Vendome is a symbol of Parisian luxury in many luxury boutique where she lives and the presence of one of the most luxurious hotels in Paris: The Ritz.
