From March 19 until April 16, 2016, Opera Bastille welcomes the Russian and Soviet composer Sergei Prokofiev’s fine ballet, Romeo and Juliet, a ballet adapted from William Shakespeare’s tragic play of the same name and choreographed by the great choreographer, Rudolf Nureyev.
Conducted by Simon Hewett, the Principal Conductor of the Stuttgart Opera and Principal Conductor of the Hamburg Ballet, under the direction of Rudolf Nureyev this fabulous show will transport you to a world where love does not submit to any laws or rules.
Romeo and Juliet is a three-act ballet that lasts approximately three hours and unites the best Danseur Étoile, premier danseur, and corps de ballet of the Paris Opera Ballet along with many other celebrated dancers.
