Sarah Moon has spent much of her career as a photographer showcasing the lives of others. Her work in the world of fashion has brought us closer to subjects and given us another perspective on their look. It is about time that we got the chance to recognise the women behind the camera and the skill involved in these shots. The Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris has set up a new show with a range of photographs and video pieces from Sarah’s career.
Amazingly, this is the first time that a major gallery has dedicated a show to her work. So, it is a long-overdue opportunity to see a different side to her work, such as her shots of plants and animals, and to see her films as well. This is a must-see show for anyone with a passion for fashion or photography – as well as those keen to see more from women artists.
The show is already open and continues until the 10th of January.
