It has been a bit of a rollercoaster year for the Louvre. Paris’ leading museum and art gallery would normally see millions of visitors over the course of the year, with plenty of tourists and locals exploring the halls and galleries. But, a combination of Covid restrictions and lockdown regulations meant that these numbers declined significantly. The most recent lockdown meant they had to close their doors once again. But, as of January 7th, they will be able to reopen in a Covid-secure manner. The online ticketing service is up and running so that you can book your place and it is best to do so as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
A ticket to the Louvre in January will provide a socially-distanced experience, but there is still access to all the galleries and some major exhibitions, including “Body and Soul” and “The Advent of the Artist”. So, book today for a cultural treat this holiday season.
